If you've been following me via Twitter, you will know that I am slightly obsessed with a certain snack otherwise known as popchips.  I can't get enough of the flavour - distinct, addicting and just plain yummy.

The secret to this delicious snack is that popchips are not fried and not baked.  So how do they become a chip?  According to popchips' website, they "take wholesome potatoes, add a little heat and pressure, and pop! It's a chip. The only thing added is a flavorful blend of seasonings for a snack so delicious and crispy, you won't even notice it's {we hesitate to say} healthier."

the many flavours of popchips

My good friends at our local popchips office sent me a sample box of the various flavours popchips has to offer:  original, barbeque, sour cream & onion, cheddar, sea salt & vinegar and salt & pepper.  Lil J loved all of them and Miss S was partial to the sea salt & vinegar flavour.

Here's what I thought:

Original:  My overall favourite!  Not too much flavour, not too much salt.  Just right and highly addicting!
Barbeque:  Loaded with the classic barbeque flavour with a little kick.  I'm not a huge barbeque fan but it had just enough flavour.
Sour Cream & Onion:  Very nice with just enough flavour.
Cheddar:  My favourite flavoured popchip!  Not too much cheddar and it will not stain your hands orange.  I can't get enough of cheddar popchips!!
Sea Salt & Vinegar:  Lots of flavour with a tangy, sour vinegar taste.  I found it too strong for my liking but Miss S and Lil J loved them.
Salt & Pepper:  The sleeper favourite.  If you like pepper, you'll love this flavour.  I'm not much of a pepper fan but this one did it for me.  Has a nice spicy kick to it!
