{swank} review & giveaway: Club House Flavourful Recipe Mixes - Spice Up Your Family Dinner! #ClubHouseRecipeMix

If you've been following my blog for a while, you would know that I am not your typical domesticated wife, or housewife for that matter.  I don't find it fun picking up after other people's messes and I have a slight anxiety attack every time I'm faced with the task of figuring out what to prepare for dinner.  So you can only imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to invite Club House Flavourful Recipe Mixes into my house!

This September brought big changes to our household.  Miss S is now in grade 7 and Lil J just started preschool, plus, being the crazy mom that I am, I stuck him in three different activities {gymnastics, soccer and floor hockey}.  I guess this now means that I'm a quintessential soccer mom {without the mini van of course!}.  In between shuttling the kids to school and before/after school activities, I was finding the pressure to have dinner on the table every night extremely daunting.  That is until this arrived on my doorstep:

My stash of Club House Mixes!

Yup that's right, Club House hooked us up!  I was more than happy to dip into the box and try Club House's new Flavourful Recipe Mixes.  They've done all the work for you with the mix right in the package, a recipe on the back of the package or online at clubhouse.ca.  Pressure...gone.  Plus each Flavourful Recipe Mix and 25% Less Salt Gravy Mix is made with no added MSG, no trans fat, and no artificial colours or flavours.  Definitely a healthy and smart choice for my whole family!

For our first Club House Flavourful Recipe Mix meal, we decided to go with the classic Creamy Parmesan Chicken Penne.  I stuck with the easy recipe on the back of the package and my husband added some fresh garlic to give it some added flavour.  It pays to have a cook in the house!

Preparation of our Creamy Parmesan Chicken Penne dinner!

I also used a box of whole wheat pasta and half of a large can of diced tomatoes with the sauce.  The recipe also called for butter and half & half.  Prep time took about 15 minutes and the total cook time was around 30 minutes.  Not bad for an after school dinner which was actually ready on time - for once!  The meal was a hit with the kids which is a huge plus given we have very picky kids.

The delicious Club House dish - bon appetit!
