{swank} review & giveaway: Palladium Boots

Shoe shopping for a boy means shopping for a high-quality shoe that will last wears and tears, mud and puddles, and kicks and scuffs until the little man grows out of them.  I find that to be such a tough feat unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for such a thing.  Enter Palladium Boots.  Palladium has been experts in the shoe making business since 1947 but was actually founded in 1920 to make tires for the fledgling aviation industry.  Once the demand for tires wore down after World War II, Palladium decided to cross-over to the shoe industry and make quality soles that were as durable as their tires.  65 years later and they're still at the top of their game!

Palladium's kids line is an array of stylish kicks for boys and girls from infant age to the teenage years.  Their shoes all have a durable rubber sole and are made with high-quality craftsmanship to stand the tests of time.  Hip and stylish, Palladium's kids line has proven to be a hit with the young crowd.

We were sent the Baggy Leather S in the Gray Pilot colour for Lil J, which was inspired by bomber jackets with its antique cracked leather look.  As I opened the box with anticipation, I can truly say that I was equally impressed with what was inside.  A boot with a rubber sole and leather upper so durable that I'm 100% sure it will last this winter and many more to come.  The style is also unisex which comes in handy when we hand it down to Baby Z in a couple years!  The boot has two zippers along the side for easy, independent foot access and a shearling lining that wicks away moisture so that the boot can be worn year round.  My favourite part about the Baggy Leather S boot is that it can be worn two different ways - with the shearling lining cuffed or un-cuffed - giving it a different look each time your stylish  mini-me wears it!
