The search for natural baby care products for my Baby Z is constant. I want whatever I put on her body to be as natural as possible to ensure that nothing toxic touches her skin. That's why I turned to a name trusted in households across North America - Burt's Bees.
I've used Burt's Bees products myself in the past and was curious about their baby line, Baby Bee. As with all new products that I try on my kids, I wondered if the products would irritate Baby Z's skin. Even though most of Burt's Bees products claim to be 98-99% natural, you can't help but wonder what the 1-2% is comprised of.
Luckily, Burt's Bees Baby Bee Multipurpose Ointment seems to be a perfect match for Baby Z's skin. I've only used it as a cream to protect her bum from diaper rash, but it can also be used to moisturize baby's face and body. It is a little thick for my liking to put it on Baby Z's face but I'll probably try it on her body one day {I feel that she's still too young for any body moisturizers right now}. I love how the ointment has a distinct bees wax smell and doesn't smell medicinal or overly scented.
Also included in the Baby Bee line are Chlorine-Free Wipes. These wipes give me piece of mind that no chlorine of any kind was used in the process of making the wipes and that in itself is reassuring to me that chlorine will not be touching Baby Z's skin. It is also hypoallergenic and fragrance-free - perfect for babies with sensitive skin. Plus the package is the perfect size to keep in the car or to slip in your diaper bag.
In addition to the Baby Bee line, Burt's Bees also has a line for the special ladies that look after the babies - Mama Bee. I've been using the Mama Bee Leg and Foot Creme over the past couple weeks, lathering it over my tired legs and feet after my nightly shower, and I love how soothing it feels and smells. The rich cream is infused with peppermint oil and rosemary extract to help release the stress of your day. Hubby says it smells like mint toothpaste and I think it smells like candy canes - perfect for the holidays!
Burt's Bees also spoil mamas around the globe with the Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil. Best when applied after a shower or bath, this body oil can also be put to use as a massage oil for mama's achy backs or for a pregnant mama's growing belly. I'm definitely going to use my Nourishing Body Oil for my next back massage - hint, hint!
