The birthday banner was made out of sparkly pink cardstock I picked up at Michael's. The idea originated from A Mommy in the City: I decided on a font I liked, printed off the letters on regular printer paper and traced it onto the cardstock. Next, I used a xacto knife to cut out the letters, punched holes in the top of each letter and strung pink ribbon through the letters. It was time consuming but definitely worth it!
Baby Z's party theme was pink lemonade so, naturally, everything was pink and yellow:
The cupcakes and push cake pops were vanilla cake with lemon icing, the cookies were a pink lemonade flavour with real strawberries and real lemon juice, and the jello was pink lemonade and gelatin in real lemon "shells".
Since it was my first time making cake pops, I stuck with boxed vanilla cake and store-bought icing just in case I screwed it up. I also used Wilton brand pink and yellow candy melts from Michael's for the coating.
The party itself took place at a local community center. We had use of the entire gymnasium which had an amazing preschool toy gym set-up, complete with a bouncy castle!

Halfway through the party, Baby Z was so party pooped that she started to fall asleep on her Uncle R:
Then it was time for pizza and cake! Who wouldn't be awake for cake?!
