A couple months ago I met up with owner and creator of Vonbon, Jen Wilson, and she suggested that we go out with a few mutual girlfriends {whom also happen to be super hot and extremely successful} once a month for drinks to let loose, network, and just have fun. Having just finished our second Swank Saturday this past weekend, I think we put the networking part on the back burner and just end up having a fabulous night on the town! When you bump into Kessler, Luongo and Reiko from The Real Housewives of Vancouver all in one night, it's kind of hard not to!
For our first Swank Saturday back in August, we met up at the uber swanky rooftop cocktail bar, Reflections at Hotel Georgia for drinks, girl talk and tons of laughter. Making the coveted guest list was Jen, Kristen Sarna {Jen's sister and owner of Studio 86 Creative Design}, Jessica Blumel {creator and owner of North Shore Mama}, Desiree Cluff {baby guru extraordinaire and owner of Rockababy} and, of course, myself.
After drinks, we were having too much fun so we headed to the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel's Lobby Lounge, where they have a live band playing in the lobby seven days a week. The Lobby Lounge is definitely a place to be seen and also to see a lot of fabulous people including Ronnie the Dancer.
Apparently, our gorgeous friend couldn't resist Ronnie's high kick:
The night ended with a search for a lost lady and one of us losing a car forgetting where we parked and a passenger that was no help in locating the vehicle. Definitely a memorable end to a fabulous night!
In fact, it was so fabulous that we had to meet up for round two this past weekend! Joining us this time was Cindy Dueck {owner and operator of Confetti and Sparkle Party Shop} and Meghan Simington {creator of CoquitlamMommy.ca and entrepreneur} - two amazing and very inspiring women. We kicked off the night with a change of scenery at The Diamond in Gastown for some much needed girl time, not to mention a few cocktails!
The night was in full swing and we met a few fun characters, and ultimately ended up at what should be coined our new Swank Saturdays hot spot, The Lobby Lounge at the Pacific Rim. And besides the famous people we happened to be "hanging out" with, Ronnie also made an encore appearance with his eccentric style {note to self: must get a group shot with Ronnie next month!}.
I'm so excited about this amazing group of ladies and our blossoming friendships, and I'm already looking forward to our next night on the town! Where should we head next?
